Partners in Franciscan Ministry (PFM) oversees these ministries and ensures that Franciscan values remain integrated in how they deal with consumers, employees, vendors and the communities where they are located.
Founded in 2003, the Portiuncula Foundation supports efforts to advance health and well-being in communities where the Sisters of St. Francis live and work. The foundation manages the restricted gifts and charitable funds formerly held at the Pittsburgh-based St. Francis Health Foundation, St. Francis Hospital of New Castle, and St. Francis Medical Center in a manner in keeping with the original intent of the donors.
As devoted stewards of Saint Marianne Cope's life and legacy our mission is to collect, preserve, exhibit, interpret and share Saint Marianne's inspiring story as a Sister of St. Francis.
Francis House provides a home and a supportive extended family to people with terminal illnesses with a prognosis of six months or less to live. The values of Francis House are to accept each resident unconditionally and ensure that they are treated with dignity, respect and compassion.

Gingerbread House Preschool and Child Care Center
The Gingerbread House Preschool and Childcare Center encourages knowledge, wisdom, and understanding by providing a developmentally appropriate curriculum in early childhood education. The Gingerbread House is located at 3020 Court Street, just minutes from downtown Syracuse. Our hours of operation are 6:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, providing care for children six weeks to six years of age. Our preschool program begins at three years of age.
